Board Guidelines
Rules: Abide by them, or get banned. You choose.
Section 1: Behaviour
1a) No flaming - This is verbal assault on users. 1st offense = 3 day ban. 2nd offense = 5 day ban. 3rd offense = Permanent IP ban.
1b) Keep outside disputes outside - If someone is harrasing you on MSN/Skype etc., do not bring it here. We don't care.
1c) No ReRegs - Don't register more than one account. If you have another housemate who wishes to register, PM an admin and let them know.
Section 2: Posting Habits
2a) No Spamming - Do not spam. You will be banned. This includes short single worded posts.
2b) Do not multipost - If you post, and realize you have left out something, don't repost. Use the EDIT function.
2c) Image Posting - Use a photo host site. eg Photobucket, flickr, Imageshack
2d) Thread Bumping - Don't bump old threads. If they haven't been posted in for a month, leave it that way.
2e) Look for existing threads - Don't start a thread if there is already one for that purpose. eg Don't start a thread introducing yourself, that is why we have the Introducing/Returning/Leaving thread.
2f) No backseat moderating - Don't tell staff what to do. If someone is breaking rules, we'll find it.
Section 3: Content Restricitons
3a) No explicit content - No porn etc. There is no need for it here. Breaking this rule will result in a 14 day ban, if not permanent.
3b) No illegal material - Do not post illegal material. Your IP adresses are recorded.
3c) No excessive swearing - Self explanatory.
3d) No Advertising - No advertising outside of your signature.
Section 4: General
4a) World of Insanity and Forum Games - Don't post exclusively in those forums. It does not make you look good at all. They are there to allow users to unwind a little, not vomit mass amounts of crap posts.
4b) Asking to be a Moderator - Don't ask to be a moderator. If the admin team feels the need for a new moderator we will decide upon the most suitable member
Section 5: Profile
5a) Avatar Size - No avatars bigger than 120x120 pixels. This has been limited using the board software.
And, these rules are NOT up for discussion. Case closed.

Consequences
Warning 1: You will receive an official warning via PM.
Warning 2: You will be placed in a moderation line (if we can find the feature)
Warning 3: You will be banned for a period of 3 days
Warning 4: You will be banned for a period of 7 days.
Warning 5: Your IP address will be blocked and a permanent ban will be enforced
Some guidelines also incur their own penalty if broken. These out weigh the consequences above and can be found next to the separate guideline
